Book 08 · The Ache of Distance

From the song
Lahza لحظة by SNX
An Egyptian-Arabic track, a hip-hop and classical mix, about asking for one more moment. The speaker stands on a battlefield and sees her like a setting sun. He wants to hold her and wishes she were his, but cannot make her stay. He needs a few seconds, something forgotten, because every moment she is someone different. He says her nearness is something he feels in every film he has ever watched, and that even the people around him say her name. In the chorus he imagines being just a moment, listening to the people who listen to him, letting his sadness stay as it was and keep away. When he closes his eyes, he finds himself a child again in a world that does not need a clock, and he says he has lived every moment as if it were one moment. Time has passed, but he still hopes to find his answer inside the moment.
Deeper meaning
The title word is "moment" and the whole song asks what a moment can hold. It is about the fear of losing someone and the fantasy of stopping time, with the closed-eyes image of being a child as the safest place the mind knows. The ending admits that time has passed anyway.
