Ibni Malek

A woman in a Gulf voice calls herself the daughter of the full moon and calls her beloved's face the dawn. She says how many times she has told him, and asks why he wounds a soul that came to him once, then twice, though it is hard. He is the sun, she shuts her eyes and searches for his shade. The refrain keeps returning to the double visit, as if counting the effort she has already spent.
