Al Khutta
الخطة

From the song
Al Khutta الخطة by SNX
A spoken-flow track in Gulf Arabic about loss and faith. The speaker starts with a proverb about heavy things resting on the head that wears them, and adds one of his own: great pride does not wear well. Things slipped out of his hands and he does not want to live that way. Life has got harder, and he asks how he can lose when his Lord is by his side. There is a plan, he says, and it is not his; even if he is lost and does not know where he is, he is still in God's land. Many choices are laid out for him, but he wants only one. Words are easy, doing is hard. Even the decision is not his: if it were, he would give away the whole kingdom and never wear the crown. What he wants now is God, freedom and a way to cross to the other side. The chorus keeps returning to one calm idea: if things are left to run, they start to look easy.
Deeper meaning
A song about letting go. The plan of the title is a plan that belongs to God, and the speaker's relief comes from admitting that he is not in charge. The line about giving away a kingdom and turning down the crown is the central picture: surrender is presented as freedom.
