From the song
Zarif ظريف by SNX
A chant-like Moroccan track built on the word for "charming" or "witty". The speaker stays awake through nights and days for someone, asks how he can come to her, and keeps returning to the same question over a heavy beat. A line tells the crowd to kiss their mothers and honour their fathers, followed by playful calls to light it up, add more and spread it out, which seem to be dance directions rather than story. Most of the track is call-and-response over the groove.
Deeper meaning
This is a dance-floor piece more than a story. The word of the title is used as praise and as a refrain. The reminder to respect parents sits oddly in the middle and gives the song a warm, communal feel, like a party where everyone is addressed as family.
