The title is the command "come." An invitation to a lover to run away with him. Come, my love, let us live like a rose among the hills, rule our own world, and keep our passion from living in absence or dying with forgetting. They will travel and sleep in the light of candles under the stars, in tents far from people, where nobody can hear them. They will bathe in waves, live by the sea, see each other always. Nothing in the world is worth your absence, he says; if he could hold her, he would never let go, and he calls to the one who cannot hear him. A comic aside about a friend on a scooter asking what the solution is: he answers with the refrain, come, my love, let us live slowly, in peace.
