Sikkah Jadidah

A rap in Egyptian street speech, opening with the singer declaring himself an artist, over and over like a chant. He then talks to the young ones about what a hip-hop track needs, a verse that grabs the ear. He says he has worked at his craft for a long time so that no one takes what is his, and that nothing scares him. Out of a hundred people who say they are the best, who really makes something and turns it into art? Who thinks outside the box, takes the wrong road to find something new, tries a new track? He believes that is what comes next, and hopes it helps everyone. The close is a short scene: we meet in a place where nobody is, and suddenly something stirs and I start to dance.
