From the song
Nekhser نخسر by SNX
A Moroccan-dialect song of regret in which one line is chanted until it becomes a spell: I never meant to lose your love. Without you, he says, I would not be myself, I would not be a lover. He did not know her except by hardship, tried everything in the neighbourhood and could not be patient. He is sorry that he walked away from her, and the song ends on the plain admission that it is hard to lose this love, hard for both of them.
Deeper meaning
The title means "we lose", and the song is about the distance between what someone intended and what happened. It is built on repetition so that the apology feels like something being said again and again to no one. The word for "hard" is the last note, and it is used as an honest summary of the loss.
