From the song
Jamil جميل by SNX
A praise song with almost nothing but praise. My beloved is beautiful. His beloved's eyes are like the sea, and the face like the moon, and above that another moon. How lovely you are, he cries, again and again, like a man who cannot find a better word. A short breath of cheers punctuates the loops.
Deeper meaning
The song is a catalogue of one image, the way folk praise-songs are. It makes no story and no argument, only delight. The sea and the moon are both things that cannot be held, so the praise also hints that she is out of reach.
