I Am the Road

Part one is Arabic, part two English. He walked without a map, the road long and the dream heavy. They told him to stop and he said he would keep going; he does not wait, he starts before he doubts. He rebuilt himself from zero, never fled the pain, and every time he fell he stood up. Fear and tiredness stopped nothing. He was made of dust and hears gold in it. He is not a number in their accounts but a duty. He did not wait for someone to open the door; he broke it with his own hand. The refrain declares that he is himself the road, the bridge and the starting point. In English he speaks to those who gave up halfway, who packed their bags and forgot why they started: fear does not leave, you carry it, and you are right on time.
