From the song
Alard الارض by SNX
A Gulf and Maghrebi mix of a song about stumbling together. Under her shade, he says, it was like being under the heavens. Then he asks where the promise went and where the loyalty is, and calls all of the talk lies. Leaving her would be death, but sadly her love is his greatest flaw. The refrain is the title word: every time they stood up, they fell to the ground, and every time they went back, they fell again. He studies it to learn where the fault is, where the wound is and how honesty might come back to them. He sees light in her, finds his heart with her and forgets the past. A Maghrebi verse adds that he feels nothing without himself, has tried it, and that when friends he loves come with jealousy, he keeps his soul out of it.
Deeper meaning
The ground is the place they keep returning to, and the song treats the pattern of falling and getting up as the real subject. It is a plain admission that love can be both a weakness and a home, and that the cycle has not yet broken.
