Al Lur

اللور

Poems inspired by SNX's songs, retold by AIA Labs.

From the song

Al Lur اللور by SNX

Almost a pure vocal hook. A voice cries out to God, then to the beloved, then settles into a repeated nonsense syllable that works as the chorus. Between the chants there are fragments: a man wants her to be a good number, the village is finishing, and one person he does not know.

Deeper meaning

This is a dance track more than a poem, and its meaning is in the rhythm. The Egyptian exclamation of delight at the start and the Moroccan words at the end suggest a song that was made to cross dialects, with the middle left as sound. I would not read a story into it.
