A Moroccan and English love track whose hook says that his heart is with her. The English lines, partly garbled, call love a friend. They talk of laughing while crying, of the smile that hides tears, of seeing the truth in someone, and of a list of images from nature, the grapes on the vine, the sea, the rare and the fine, and the tree of his life. He says he loves the way she smells, and that when she sleeps she is something beautiful. The Moroccan hook returns over and over: my heart is with you, my love.
Deeper meaning
The song is built from two languages that say the same thing in different registers, a simple Moroccan promise and a looser English reverie. The picture of love as a friend rather than a force is the gentlest idea in it. The nature images are used like a list of things that cannot be explained, only named.
