From the song
Shoftaha شفتها by SNX
A Moroccan Darija song about seeing her. He says that the song reminds him of a love of his own, one he tells to let him forget, but the love cannot manage it. She is no longer seen. His heart is no longer lit. Days that used to be clear no longer come. He asks someone to pass on to her what he cannot say, and then pleads to keep her for him. He wonders why they were separated when everything in her is still good, and he calls her his beloved still. The words for every time he saw her repeat until they sound like a pulse.
Deeper meaning
The song is about seeing someone who is no longer yours and being undone each time. The refrain turns the sighting into a ritual of pain. The plea to keep her for him is the clearest line: he cannot hold her, so he asks the world to hold her until he can.
