From the song

Qal قال by SNX

The title means "he said." A classical-flavoured Arabic electro-house track in the language of devotional love. My beloved said, and separation grew in me, my love; rose cheeks, what shall we say of you, the beautiful one; the lord of perfect beauty, they told me he torments. Come before my eyes, return to me, the heart's beat; we walk with him wherever he takes me. A second voice calls on the noble and the generous to put out the fire and think with him, until hearts soften and bring everyone together in one home. A refrain of "ah ya lala" fills the middle. He says he went and came with the beloved's procession, and that his ecstasy is allowed on their lips.

Deeper meaning

The vocabulary of passion, beauty and procession belongs to the old sung-poetry tradition where love for a person and love for the divine are deliberately hard to tell apart. It works as a love song or as a mystical one, and the arrangement keeps that open.
