Poems inspired by SNX's songs, retold by AIA Labs.
From the song
Majnoon Beek مجنون بيك by SNX
The title means "mad about you." A playful Egyptian love declaration. Who told you I don't love you? I'm dying for you. You, beautiful, don't understand: I am forbidden from you, I am forbidden from you. Since the day he saw her he sees no one else, and every time he opens his eyes he sees her; a friend tells him she is a beauty queen. He is mad, crazy, and the chorus keeps asking who said he did not love her, where are the faults, and answers himself by repeating the question. The final lines, in a mix of dialects, say that she has made him fear her love, that his eyes are on the one who loves him, and that it is a strange thing that so many people ask about him because he is so mad.
Deeper meaning
A comic-affectionate counterpart to the heavy lament songs: love as a lovable madness. Along with You're The Magic, one of the few songs with no sorrow in it.
