Jareet

A song about running. A woman runs and arrives, again and again, at the same place, and finds herself alone on a road that is not far. She blames fate, or says it was written, and wishes she had met him sooner, before things were decided. She also blames him, because he wrote it for her. Why did he never tell her? She says she knows she was wrong. Then comes the turn: she cannot do it a second time. She would carry on if she could, but she cannot begin again, so she runs toward the unknown, with her own hand the only thing she trusts. The voice ends in refusal rather than in grief.
