I'm an Alchemist

Alchemy as a way of living. Take dust and make it clear, take base metal and make it gold. Take pain and make light, take ash and make something new. A cheap stone and a broken heart change together: out of sand comes clear glass. Every raw wound is material, every night is the furnace. They see a raven; he sees what can be made. The desert taught him the recipe: nothing is lost, everything transforms. The ruins of temples become new foundations, and the same fire that burned him now turns him to pure gold.
